the discussion is about best thps3 player, not best theoretically if they had time to catch up with new stuff player. thats why im comparing a player's prime vs another player's prime. i doubt elysium at his prime can win in any game against me today

but sure if elysium came back and totally learned everything and became the best.. then yes he is the best but thats all speculation.
@ Wild

I totally disagree with your theory that players in past years were worse. I can compare old shin with new shin. I play thps3 because I like this game but still I had more fun in 2005-2007 than nowadays. First of all I was younger, I could better concentrate(now i mostly eat during playingLaugh) , had better PC. I wanted to play good and be one of the best. Now I generally don't care about winning, trying to play good. Even if we play some serious tourney I can't play as good as few years ago. I won't say it's only my laptop and i'm 2x slower but lost some motivation. Nvm said that it's probalby because all my friends left this game and it's probably truth. It's something more, maybe in my head, because everyone who knew me few years ago will say that i'm not the same guy. It's not only about me, but I could say the same to guys like coom. He sucks now too. But we have some good moments. Good example is a day when Nvm said that he was surprised because coom played such an excellent game.

Next thing is that ppl in past years used another skills what I call: imagination. We didn't know all this tfs and still we could dodge ppl in many ways. That was fun.

edit: Ofc i thought that you were cheating when you made xtc record. But it's not only me. There were so many players because you were cheating before, you back after long break and made such a big record. But you made it without cheats and really congrats. and I can agree that you can be the best now. But it won't change my opinion that fkone, shin, method in their best times could easily compare with you.

I picked Elysium because I thought that that analogy to shuffling is funny, not because I believe he is the best ever. He wasn't the best even before thps4 came out. I later said it's impossible. My point is that players like andy, draco, mike started from almost nothing and totally owned everyone what kinda make them the best. Today there are no such a players. This is clear prove of talent. I don't mean there aren't talented people now. I clearly explained it here: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.chapter-3.net/thps3/site/distribution/viewtopic.php?p=29664#p29664">viewtopic.php?p=29664#p29664</a><!-- l -->

What you, I and many others have done is years of playing to slowly master this game. Do you think that Einstein from his prime just because he doesn't know about some recent discoveries is less clever than some random physicist who learned Einsteins' theories plus newer stuff? And read what I wrote about mike.

i doubt elysium at his prime can win in any game against me today
obviously because he was busy inventing shuffling and he haven't got years to master all zones in cz Wink

exactly my point lol.. the discussion isnt about einstein being more clever but rather about knowing more get it? the physicists of today KNOW more than einstein did. most likely there are/were many other players more talented than me but not more skillful

ur talking about talent ur talkin about who could have done what, the discussion is about who can DO what

thats why people u mention who had alot of raw talent don't stack up in best players of all time list, but would stack up great at who would be best player at the end of the year if everyone started in 2012

@shin when i made 21 or 22 xtc this is what u said

shin Wrote:score is amazing. I didn't watch the video but gj.

u didnt doubt me that time (even without watching vid).. but when i made 33 xtc u thought i was definitely cheating, this means that u didn't think 33 xtc was possible

Nevermind Wrote:again you cant really tell, because newschoolers can learn much faster. they get trained by some guy who knows all techniques and tfs and that newsqler gets rleally good after short time. u might call him talented because hes pro after that short time, but most oldschoolers had to find stuff on their own. but than again, newsql never had the chance to find things on their own. because all the stuff was already old.

so whos more talented now?
maybe there are people as genius as einstein but never had the chance to prove it, because things were already known.. einstein-example is weird :Original

This is why I said it's impossible. Just re-read this: <!-- l --><a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.chapter-3.net/thps3/site/distribution/viewtopic.php?p=29664#p29664">viewtopic.php?p=29664#p29664</a><!-- l -->

Quote:My analogy to shuffling was true, but you can't judge player solely because he developed one technique. It's almost impossible to tell who is the best player ever.

Anyway someone said that only few people REALLY understand all Einsteins' theories. Understanding them is prove of genius. Wink
@ Wild

If you were stone at december 2005 then It means i didn't believe at your 21 rec too Tongue and many guys didn't believe in that because your thps3 history. But we are only humans and if it means something for you: I apologize.
my 22 xtc rec was actually done in 2008, when i first said i did 21 xtc that 1 was a lie and i never tried to do it.. i just said i did it. but i only told everyone that i cheated around early 07, so before that no one knew that i cheated only that i lied. so if u say u didnt believe my 21 xtc claim from 05 then u didnt believe it for other reasons (not the reason that u knew i used to cheat) i stopped claiming that i can do 21 xtc in 06 or so, and i didnt do 33 xtc right after coming back, i came back from thug2 around 07-08 and did 22 xtc then later on did 33 xtc

and i dont feel that u have to apologize to me, the point here is that u couldn't believe my 33 xtc not because i used to cheat but because the score was just too good to be true in ur opinion

so if we apply that to th3.. understanding elysiums THEORY OF SHUFFLING makes everyone who can shuffle a genius?
nihilistic discussion. there is no best of all times. just like there is no best guitarist of all times. but to call a few names
