lol I could say that maybe I was best ctf,cz player in 2005-2006 (because i won almost every tourney i participated) but never best in everything.

@ wild
My logic says to me that I'm not noob currently. I still can play good games and you can't compare it with yourself at 2005-2007.
@wild
so what is skill Laugh
if someone wins vs an other guy, u cant say he's more skilled or better, because they play in different style.

example would be wirekoth... taking no risks, skating wires all the time. or just everytime i see ULM doing his lame circles and your unable to slap him because of little lagg and stuff.
if u win this way your games vs someone else, i wouldnt say your more skilled than your opponent...
shin Wrote:No one. Talking about best thps3 player has no sense.. As I said: Everyone of us has different expierence at thps3. My expierence is that in 2005-2007 only 2 clans counted: Blu and THC and we were 2 best teams at thps3 because we had best players at this moment. Plum will say something different because he rememberes the times when none of us played. and finally wild will say that new players are better because he owns nowadays. Too many factors to decide about it.

thats why its a voting Laugh
everyone has his own opinion and he can share it with us, by naming the best thps3 player. its interesting i guess

in 05-07 i didnt cheat anymore actually and i was average, i was at lvl of some HoW ppl and fkone started around 05 if i remember right i played ctf matches with him and i wasn't impressed but blind impresses me even today

comparatively u are also around average today so the situations are similar. just like u say there were alot more ppl in old times it was alot harder to win tourney.. what i think is in old times there were alot more ppl but the highest lvl of skill was much lower than the highest lvl of skill we got today so it was easier to win tourney then. when u say ill always be a cheater to u that doesn't reflect my skill, just ur bias. the point is that i did 33 xtc and u couldn't believe it that shows the difference between the skill lvls u are familiar with and the skill lvls im familiar with

@nvm
im talkin about playing within accepted standards, like not camping which is almost everyone agrees is a good standard. if u win vs me without camping or without lag u r definitely better than me doesnt matter ur style of playing.. if u used tfs and i didn't and u won u r still a better player than me
wild786 Wrote:are we talking about talent or skill? those are diff things talent is when u are capable of learning fast skill is just how good u are

I thought we are talking about taking any player on their best day and pitting him vs everyone else to see how good he is, not how much potential he had
It's irrelevant. You can actually compare them when you somehow talk some old schooler into playing this game again. Give him some time to learn. Remember that the players who started later didn't start from nothing but had access to past knowledge through many players, forums and videos. Using time machine would be clearly unfair. You are confusing skills and talent with techniques or knowledge.

The few players I mentioned at their prime stood well above 99.9% of that time community. I also told you about mike who reaped many of new schoolers during one improv tourney despite some peoples' claims about clear superiority of new schoolers what kinda proves my point about raw talent regardless of time or era. Of course he needed some time to get used to, but it wasn't months or years.
