First of all, hello.
Some of you may know me and some may not, but that's not important right now.
I'm here to talk to you about all the noobs that knows the pro pass.
Some old schoolers here might remember the d. pass and how ONLY pros knew it.
And by pros I don't mean people who has good balance, but people who knew how to play. People who made NM's. People who made GT's. People who were invloved in improvisation competitions.
May I ask what the hell happened? Today I was hosting with the t. pass and I've had 2 proskaters in my server Closedeyes
So many noobs know the t. pass, its emberassing. Actually, mostly noobs know the pro pass, which turned it into a noob pass. Playing THPS3 lost all It's touch due to that new lame community we have now.
1 of the things that annoyed me the most is that people told me that in order to get the pro pass you need to do atleast 7 XTC. What the flying fuck? Since when did the pro pass have requirements? If you're a pro, you're a pro. Period. And if you're a pro you know the pass.
But the thing that pissed me off the most, is when someone told me that people wouldn't tell him the new pro pass because of his CZ skills.
Well, fuck CZ. Since when being good in CZ made you a pro?
I honestly hope you guys think this through and see the downfall of this community.

no.. ull get it when u can balance ur combo good, (in 2levels 7xtc.) when u play fair and with cz they look how ur strategy is. so u don tneed to be VERY good at cz to get that pw. it's about the way u play like is it predictable or not?

It's not about that... It's just you shouldn't be able to get the pro pass based on KOTH skills and your strategy and shit. I honestly don't want to be a part of it.

Firstly, the t pass is what.. 6 years old? more? It's just ONE WORD, and the fact that it didn't spread into the entire community within 3 months is still an achievement, it was bound to be found out sooner or later. Times change, communities change, there are almost no oldschoolers playing regularly now I believe (I started 15 months ago).

Secondly, DUDE, can you suggest anything better? They're trying to give a test covering as broad a range of skills as is viable. I'm not one the testers, but I'm sure they would welcome you and your EPS buddies to come and show us how it's done, since it's apparently being handled so badly at the moment (I think it's fine).

Your using the term pro incredible loosely here, and you haven't given any suggestions as to what a pro actually is in your opinion, apart from this, which is confusing to say the least

You can learn how to play this game in 15 minutes man.

Nihilism Wrote:Which you will only give to people who are good in CZ.
Correction: good in all parts of the test, if you're bad at one, you'll fail, but be given constructive criticism. Read lyst's article.

I'll finish with this. What skills would you say are needed, to be classed as a pro? Because right now it looks like you would just go on gut feeling.

QUAK.

Look, when the d. pass got discovered by a small amount of players we changed it to the t. pass.
The reason it didn't spread is because it was given to CERTAIN players we could trust, not necessarily people who we're good players.
The password is more than a pro pass, It's a pass to a diffrent kind of community, of people who likes the same stuff and have fun playing with eachother.
By making requirements which not all can follow, you're limiting this community.
Do you seriously prefer playing with someone just because he's a good player, and not with someone else because you just enjoy playing with him?
Who are you to determine someone's playing skills based on fucking KOTH? And 99% of this game is balance, so you're pretty much gonna let anyone with good balance the password.
People play this game to have fun, and by entering the pro community you even have more fun... But not this way.
I've played this game for years, and the community never dissapointed me, until now.
Think about what you're doing.

Define pro then...
For me a pro is good at all aspects of thps3, and great at some aspects.
For you this might be comboing, for others it might be doing improvs/nms, for others it might be cz/ctf/koth. They don't need to be superior at everything.

95% of this community plays teamgames like cz/koth/slap/ctf, so it seem logical to me that this aspect of the game need to be tested as well, just like combo's. And people who do 7 xtc in two different levels aren't ONLY good at cz, it's just a loose argument you give there. the 7 xtc tests their comboskill they will need for games like slap/ta/graf, we don't want to spend a full day testing people, so we just kept it at 7 xtc, and a few questions about scoring.

So in the end you do need skills in comboing: ta/graf/slap/keep away
and you need intime/strategic skills: ctf/cz/koth
It could be me but these are all games we have in thps3, so if you meet this requirements you're good at every aspect of the game, and considered pro.

@ When you're pro you're pro, when you're pro you know the password.
Yeah nice simple reasoning, the situation going on right now is not even close to that, as you've stated yourself, and the d password and b password are also known by those people. That's why I created this new password, to revive a procommunity again, but I see that you're not able to meet the requirements, which is a pity, but we don't need people who can only hold their combo and fail in every in-time game, because that's what we've been playing for the last 3-4 years anyway.

Yes, but why is the rum gone?

Lol, you don't even know me, what makes you think I can't handle it? Who are you to determine my skills?
And again, if that's the way you talk about it then you obviously don't know how It's been years ago.
