I think this project is a great idea. I would love to help you but I'm not sure if I'm able to. However I know how to convert the files into .tga and I do have Photoshop and GIMP. But I don't have any idea yet how to work with it and what's the best way to interpolate those graphics. But if you want you can have my skype oder icq addy to teach me
I think it won't be very hard for me to learn the basics. So if you like, write me a PM.
