what's the difference between the last post and the last new post in a thread?

@Zedd, the last post is the post at the very bottom of the thread. And with last new post I actually meant first unread post.
i see, so right after you checked the thread it disappears
when i click on 'new posts' .. a message like this is shown 'Sorry, but no results were returned using the query information you provided. Please redefine your search terms and try again.'
it happens even if there are unread posts...
Hmm strange, will have a look at it somewhere next week.
Oh I see, it shows posts since last visits I guess, not unread posts.
