Can you make windowed mode that works without defmod?
One would assume this is common knowledge but a quick google search for "thps3 windowed mode" shows me that it isn't.
You need to make a shortcut for Skate3.exe.
Go to the properties of the shortcut.
you need to add -windowed in the Target textbox so that it becomes:

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Thps3\Skate3.exe" -windowed
To play you need to open the shortcut two times, the first time it opens the configuration utility, the second time it starts the game.
There are plenty of commands like that available. I would expect that the "-play" command directly starts the game but it doesn't work for me.
Another interesting command is "-demo" but that didn't do anything special for me either.
-nosound disables sound
-host directly hosts a LAN game etc
I also uploaded the shortcut. It will work when your game is installed in
"C:\Program Files\Activision\Thps3"

Dude, thanks so much. THis is the only reason I used Def Mod. But now Def makes my game crash most of the time after 10-12 min. Since I hucked Defmod and just use this no crashing. Thanks a bunch. BTW I dont theink Windows 7 like Defmod very much. Or it just doesnt like me

Run as admin works fine, unless ofcourse an antivirus is false positive on the file.
