Maybe use groups also in r2 so:
16: 4x4
8: 2x4
Semifinals: Best Group 1 vs 2nd Group 2 etc
Finals

1 idea and then when u have 8ppl thru to finals and stuff the other 8 (knocked out) should play to see who comes last so it would look like this

And everything is same except when u have knock out the ppl knocked out that went thru have to play too so All the players will know what place they'll come in the 16
I don't think anyone would like to know that they came last :/ That would just discourage people from entering imo..
ok so just make 2 groups for the knocked out ppl
