how go you read the funny g ?

not, you kind of make the ö (pronounced as u in up) longer with that funny g

how would you do that?
you cant translate it 2 dutch so he won't understand a lot
you can teach him some grammer but i think, grammer is just a stoepid rule made for the amelioration of ppl
